FED: Men found alive by NZ plane

A New Zealand Air Force plane has found three men missing on a liferaft in the Coral Sea.

The men were seen waving to the aircraft.

A spokesman for the Australian Maritime Safety Authority in Canberra says the New Zealand
Orion aircraft spotted the liferaft 325 nautical miles south west of the New Caledonian
capital Noumea.

A French Navy vessel, the Jacques Cartier, is about two hours sailing time from the
liferaft.
