Air Force Airman Gary W. Bethoney graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, customs; and received special training in human relations. He is the nephew of John Bethoney of Nassau and a 1999 graduate of Columbia High School. Air Force Airman First Class Tomasz Szymanowski, the son of Grazyna and Ryszard Szymanowski of East Greenbush, graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
