Home buyers should be very wary of tenants. Ask direct questions about how long they've been living there, what rental they are paying and the status of their notice to vacate the property.
Clive Ashpol of the Estate Agency Affairs Board said first time home buyers Mary Jerry and Joe Wanjigi's situation was "unfortunately all too prevalent".
