John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts said it has completed a $6million dollar renovation of its Embassy Suites in Greensboro, N.C.
In a release on March 16, the company said the multi-yearrenovation, executed in three phases, modernized the hotel's 219guest suites and bathrooms, redesigned the public space andrestaurant, and upgraded 13,000 square feet of meeting andconvention space.
"Our renovated guest suites and meeting space are among thelargest in the Greensboro-Airport area, and the impact of theinvestment we made to upgrade our public space and guestroomtechnology now positions us as the most modern property in theairport market," said Chris Browell, Embassy Suites GreensboroGeneral Manager. "Our contemporary two-bay guest suites now featurecompletely updated bathrooms and redesigned in-room work areas, aswell as a 37-inch flat screen TV equipped with cable/satellite, in-room pay-per-view movies and in-room check-out. Also our guests willfind high-speed wireless Internet access throughout the hotel."
The renovation refreshed the hotel's signature atrium, turning itinto a focal point for guests to socialize, relax and stayconnected. The lobby, pool, business and fitness centers have alsobeen fully renovated, including the addition of Precor Fitnessexercise equipment.
Located near the Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO),Embassy Suites is convenient to the Greensboro business district,home of Dell and Volvo Trucks North America, and many local collegesincluding Guilford College and the University of North Carolina -Greensboro.
